Today I Am A (Semi-)Married Man

I was originally going to post something on my blog about some inane thing I experienced, or some incredible stupidity I endured – you know, the normal posts. But then this incredible thing happened to me yesterday – and all a bit suddenly. You see, yesterday I became a semi-married man.

Do You Wear Your Church On Your Sleeve?

It may sound like a silly question, but do you wear your church on your sleeve?

Most people would probably say no, which is not a wrong answer (there really is no right or wrong answer to that question). Personally, I’m comfortable not wearing my church on my sleeve, shoving it down other people’s throats whenever they look at me, cornering them in the most uncomfortable places (like standing at a men’s room urinal) talking to them about my church and my faith. But in the same breath, neither do I wear my sexuality on my sleeve. My sexuality, my faith, my church, my heigh, my weight, my education, my diet, my bowel movements – these are all facets of a single life that in its totality is me.

Despite What You Know, It’s Always Perception That Matters

I’m sure we’ve all come across this at some point in our lives. We know the truth of what happened – whether it was something we did (ourselves), or something that someone else did. We experienced it ourselves, and with our own eyes. Yet somehow, someone else may have perceived it another way.

Random Thoughts (Part I)

I occasionally have these random thoughts. Rather than letting them die a lonely death, I decided to write them down until I had enough of them to post here. These are the ideas that I thought, “Gee, I should post a blog about that,” but then realize it’s either too stupid or short (or both) to create an entire blog posting for, so I save them in Evernote (I love that app!) until I have enough of them saved to torture you with them. So, as you read, you may be thinking, “Perhaps some of them should have died that lonely death….”

This is my first installment of “Random Thoughts.” Enjoy… or not.
