Today’s Youth: WTF?

I’m really curious what’s gotten into today’s youth. No, this is not one of those rhetorical statements; I honestly want to know. Two major issues have come out in the news, lately: Namely, the Steubenville, OH, rape of a 16-year-old girl by two football players at a party; and the Philadelphia area father and son arrested after having a drinking/drug party with 19 underage kids.

Well, quite frankly, I’d like to know what got into that father to host a party like that; but I also want to know what’s gotten into today’s youth…

The Elevator Tragedy

I get to my office building on a Monday morning. It’s foggy, and we’d set the clocks forward an hour to go back to Standard Time. So, we’ve all lost an hour of sleep and are still trying to regroup after that waste of an hour. (I really wish they would drop the whole Daylight Savings thing; there’s absolutely no use for it and only stresses people out and makes everyone (read: ME) bitchy trying to recalibrate to the time change!)

But I digress.

Snowquester!

By the time you read this (yea, I’m one of those that writes his blog posts in advance and has them post later), the “event” we are waiting for will have already have happened around here. That “event,” of course, is the snow storm headed this way. It’s supposed to start very late Tuesday night and go through until Thursday morning. Now, I know there are people out there who have never seen snow. If you’re one of those people, you can trust me on this: You’re not missing anything!
