Mercury Retrograde

I’m not a real big follower of astrology and horoscopes and all that. Yeah, sometimes I’ll listen to the readings of my signs (both my sun sign and my rising sign) when they’re on the radio and think, “Oh, that’s cute…”

I don’t follow the cycle of the planets and plan out my day accordingly, either. I know some people go way out and map out their days and the decisions they’ll make (or not make) because Saturn is in alignment with Mars, or whatever. But one thing that I’ll occasionally pay attention to is when Mercury goes Retrograde.

Small Car

Well, as you can guess from my previous posts, there was a little (*Ahem*) “accident” with the new car. Through a mis-judgment of the spacial vortex that is known as a Getty Mart parking lot, as I rounded the corner of the gas pumps, a metal pole sprang up out of nowhere and attacked the rear passenger door. (Very) Long story short, we had to drop the new car off at the collision center for repairs to the tune of a very expensive fix.

The Doglette Housetraining Enigma

Well, the saga continues. Granted, in doglette training (doglette = little dog) the amount of time we spent on their housetraining is incredibly minimal – we’ve only had them for about 2.5 months. We try not to get entirely frustrated with the process, remembering that it takes time; but some days we pause for a moment, sidle up close to a wall, and bang our heads repeatedly.

Somehow, the whole housetraining thing has eluded us like two doglettes wrapped in an enigma.
