The Attempt at Finding Solace Again

I’m finding this blog writing has, of late, become lost in my daily life. Not that it hasn’t been important, but rather that life has been so hectically busy. That said, though I haven’t been publishing on a regular, weekly basis, it is what it is and I will continue to post as I’m able to find time (without brow-beating myself!)

Enchantment In Our Near Future

This is going to be another one of those really really short posts, because my mind is otherwise pre-occupied. (I know, I know! How’s this different from any other time?!?) Well, this time Hubby and I are getting ready to leave for the Isle of Enchantment for a long weekend of nothing but relaxation.

Blogworthy

Remember the old Seinfeld episode where Elaine’s favorite contraceptive sponge was being discontinued? She panicked and bought up every single one she could find in New York City to last her as long as possible. Then, every guy she would meet or go on a date with, she would have to decide whether they were “sponge-worthy” or not.

I’ve been feeling quite the same way in writing this blog – I now find myself looking at every experience in my life, studying it closely, and asking myself, “What the hell is this shit??” “Is this blogworthy?”

Why Do I Write This?

Blogging. It can be a royal pain in the ass. At other times, it can be exhilarating, fulfilling, enlightening, emptying, and even abasing. But it’s always a pain in the ass.

You Like Me! You Really Really Like Me!

What a surprise! I’ve been nominated for a Liebster Award! I would like to offer a big thank you to Eric Tonningsen of Awakening to Your Story for nominating me for this distinction. What a great surprise! (Did i say that already?) I’m actually … well … speechless! (As if anyone who knows me could actually believe that!)

Now What Should I Write About?

Well, the day has finally come. I don’t know what to write about! Well, it’s probably safer to say I don’t know what to write that anyone would really care about. But then again, that’s my blog – the Seinfeld of the blogosphere.

Not the Smartest Cookie in the Box

According to recent news, Natalie Munroe, a Bucks County, Pennsylvania, High School English Teacher, was fired after being suspended for writing a blog about her job – specifically about her students. Even though she never named her school, or her students, and only went by the moniker “Natalie M,” she did include a photo of herself (Great way to keep everyone guessing who that mystery blogger is, Natalie M!) and wrote some unflattering things about her students. At one point, she wrote, “They are rude, disengaged, lazy whiners. They curse, discuss drugs, talk back, argue for grades, complain about everything, fancy themselves entitled to whatever they desire, and are just generally annoying.”
